Sam and Spring Houston, a husband/wife team, are the new Associate Publishers of three area magazines, Collin County SENIOR Magazine, Denton County SENIOR Magazine and Texoma Area SENIOR Magazine.

“The Houston’s prior business experiences and skills make them ideal to carry-on—and even expand—the SENIOR Magazine family,” according to Josh Cates, president and CEO of the parent publishing company. “When we began publishing five years ago, I lived in the area but have since relocated out of state. By becoming Associate Publishers Sam and Spring Houston, who reside and are raising their family in their home state, our clients, advertisers and the readers of these three magazines once again have local management working with them and for them.”

The parent publishing company, SENIOR Magazine, Inc, is in its fifth year. Today it successfully publishes six versions of SENIOR Magazine—each with articles exclusive to the specific area designated by the title.

Denton County SENIOR Magazine and Collin County SENIOR Magazine serve 50,300 readers in Texas

Texoma Area SENIOR Magazine serves 18,900 in North Texas and Oklahoma.

Scottsdale SENIOR Magazine reaches 21,000 readers in Arizona,

Colorado Springs SENIOR Magazine serves 26,330 readers in Colorado, and

Northshore SENIOR Magazine reaches 21,000 in Tangipahoa, Washington, and St Tammany, the three parishes on the north shore of Louisiana’s Lake Pontchartrain.

All versions are filled with information and articles useful and interesting to seniors and their families. And all issues are complimentary to subscribers and readers. They are distributed via complimentary by-mail subscriptions and can be found in special table-top or free-standing-floor racks in the lobby and reception areas of many local hospitals, medical buildings, physician’s offices, senior centers, as well as some financial planning and legal service offices, and other convenient locations throughout their respective distribution areas.

Each advertiser-supported regional SENIOR Magazine is printed in full-color on glossy paper. Articles and stories in each version of SENIOR Magazine are written by local professionals, targeted to the concerns and interests of local readers who are 50 and older. Emphasis is on providing information relevant to quality health and wellness issues, along with legal and financial topics, and lifestyle information.

Both Sam and Spring Houston have business degrees from Texas institutions of higher learning; Sam from University of North Texas, Spring from East Texas State. Sam put his degree to work in field sales for a number of years while Spring rose to contract specialist for a national company. During hours not devoted to work the couple enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family including their own nearly two-year old daughter Parker.
