A new magazine, with a very special focus, is coming to Summit County. Its name says it all: Akron SENIOR Magazine. The introductory Winter 2010 issue debuts in December. Best of all, every issue—not just the introductory issue—are complimentary to subscribers and readers.
Akron SENIOR Magazine can be picked up in the lobby or reception areas of many local hospitals, medical buildings, physician’s offices, senior centers, as well as some financial planning and legal service offices, and other convenient locations throughout Summit County. The magazines will be easy to find in their own special table-top or free-standing-floor racks. Complimentary home-delivery by-mail subscriptions are also available.

As with its sister publications, the articles and stories in Akron SENIOR Magazine are written by local professionals, addressing the concerns and interests of readers 50 and older. Emphasis is on providing information relevant to quality health and wellness issues, along with legal and financial topics, and lifestyle information.
With the addition of Akron SENIOR Magazine, Carolyn Crocker joins SENIOR Magazine, Inc as the Akron editions’ Associate Publisher. Akron SENIOR Magazine is the first market in Ohio to enjoy this informative publication. Carolyn’s roots are firmly planted in Ohio soil. Both Carolyn, her husband Ted and their two sons, Lucas 26 and Brett 23, are native to the area.
Carolyn, a Kent State University Graduate in Marketing and Business, is excited to put her 25 years of experience to work. “I am excited to bring this community focused magazine to Summit County. Sharing the responsibility with my siblings for my own mother’s care opened my eyes to the need for improved communication between the service providers in the community and the people who are needing and looking for these services.”
