Publisher Josh Cates’ involvement with the senior healthcare field dates back to 1997 when he co-founded Unlimited Care of North Texas, a personal care agency that specialized in 24-hour live-in care for seniors. He spent 8 years providing services to seniors and caring for over 300 families. During that time he realized that seniors and their families were in need of a local resource that focused on information regarding their healthcare, legal and financial needs.
He went on to found and publish his first magazine, Denton County (Texas) Senior Resource Guide now known as Denton County SENIOR Magazine, in early 2006. It was an instant success, well received by readers, advertisers and hospitals alike. Since that first publication, four more regional publications have been added; Collin County SENIOR Magazine, Texoma Area SENIOR Magazine, Colorado Springs SENIOR Magazine, and the newest Scottsdale SENIOR Magazine.
Readers and advertisers alike have been so enthusiastic about SENIOR Magazine, that Publisher Cates explored ways to bring SENIOR Magazine to additional communities and areas. Today, SENIOR Magazine is now able to offer Franchise Opportunities in selected states. Publisher Cates looks forward to sharing his passion and serving more communities.
